The airplane flys great. Flys very similar to the 34%, but smaller. You should check out the video at www.planesplus.com. I'm flying the plane in the vid. That was my first flight on the plane so I was getting used to it the whole flight. They tossed me the plane and said "see what you think. Next thing you know I land and theres the Camera! lol. But overall very nice plane. Weight is approximately 14-16 lbs. depending how you gear it out. This would be an Excellent plane for a 3W-50i, or a DA-50R. If you have anymore questions about this line of models feel free to contact myself, or get ahold of Don or Carla Kanak at Planes Plus.

I give the plane a big thumbs up! I have seen the 34% it is awesome. I have the CA 31% from PP from a few years ago.. still flying. The Pro Extra is very close the the CA design, its light and strong.

I don't think you could go wrong with it personally and Planes Plus is great to work with.

RE: PLANES PLUS PRO SERIES 27% EXTRA??

I have also posted the same question in Giant Scale forum for the same plane 1-2 weeks back.

I am also interested about the plane, Jeff seen the video and good flying, can you comment on the overall performance, like knife edge coupling, good for IMAC, 3D.
Snaps, spins?

How is the vertical with DA50?, can tuned pipe installed and weather there is a need for it?

Any info, comments, pictures would be great.

Finally how does it compare to WH Extra if you have flown one, and possibly with EF YAK 87" if you have seen flown one?

Thanks,

RE: PLANES PLUS PRO SERIES 27% EXTRA??

The airplane flies very solid and neutral for a small plane. Knife edge coulpling is almost non existant. On my 34% I think I'm only running 1% ru-aileron mix and 2% ru-up elevator mix, and 1% throttle to elevator mix that activates only in the last two clicks of the throttle stick to the idle side for downline tracking. The 27% is for the most part the same. The airplane in the video had no mixes at all because that was the second flight on it! It would be a very good plane to start IMAC with. Due to the small size it wouldn't be competitive in the higher classes but just fine for the lower classes. Don't get me wrong the plane is capable of the unlimited sequence easily, just the small size wouldn't present properly at that level. Snaps and spins are great with it. The plane is not setup for a pipe or cannister, but you can get a cannister to fit with some modification. I really don't think the pipe or cannister is nesassary from a performance standpoint, the only reason I would put one on is to quiet the plane down, but 50cc engines aren't all that loud anyway. The DA 50 or 3W50 both would provide excellent vertical performance!
