Trimming questions
My 28% Edge does not keep its track on the downlines after a stall turn with rudder at full deflection and throttle at idle. The plane pulls to the canopy.
1) Should I programm a mix rudder to elevator or throttle to elevator in the TX? 2) The stab incidence is 0.5 degres. Daniel |
RE: Trimming questions
To eliminate pulling to the canopy, I use throttle to down elevator.

RE: Trimming questions
Daniel,
A fairly common 'mix' with pattern flyers is a couple of % elevator mixed to low throttle - I'd give it a go. Rgds, Mark |
RE: Trimming questions
As the others have said down elevator with low throttle is a common mix. My mix is usually 3-5%... You should also check your CG -- a too forward CG will make the pull to the canopy worse...

RE: Trimming questions
MY CG is where i need very little down elevator on inverted flight. I am going to try throttle-elevator mix with a switch to test it.
Thanks Daniel |
RE: Trimming questions
Start over completely with the trimming of your model. Use Peter Goldsmith's trimming article in the Scale Aerobatics section of Feb and Apr Model Aviation magazing. There's even an article condensed version here on RCU if you search for it by typing in "Peter Goldsmith" in the search line.
Good luck...the mixes all come at the end... |
