Vertical down line snaps
I thought this might be the place to ask a question re vertical down line snaps .
last weekend i had my first go at the 2006 intermediate sequence and move #2 its giving me hell . When I do the down line snap the plane has a violent pitch change and the correction sticks out like dog balls . I have tried using less elevator but I think I'm in danger of getting a zero for turning it into a flick roll rather than a true snap . If the Idea of IMAC is to make it look scale like what am I to do . I suppose I could put some power on but doing a power dive with a snap is just a good way to break my plane . I am using a comp - arf 2.3 with a ZDZ 80 so the plane is not the problem just the bloke holding the sticks . Stu . |
RE: Vertical down line snaps
Definately use less elevator and also reduce the aileron input. You will need to try different combinations to get it worked out. As I understand the terms "Snap" and "Flick" are the same thing. "Snap" is used in the states and "Flick" is used in Great Britian. Just as "wheel pants" and "spats" are used for the same item covering the wheels.
Hope this helps. EXCAP232 |
RE: Vertical down line snaps
I use go to the corners with the sticks, I get out of the rudder at 3/4 then get out of the elevator and aileron at the end. With my setup this leaves my plane pointing down after the snap vs pulling to the canopy.
