Morning Everybody

Forecast is looking good for the weekend. the field will be open on Friday up until dark. The park ranger comes by and checks on stuff and then closes it. Doug told me that there is a campsite with RV hookups less than a mile from the field. I plan to be there early Saturday morning, wanted to make it on Friday but work might keep me from it, still a possibilty though.

Eddie,

What's the drill at the field? Do we need to "check in" with anybody on Friday? We weren't planning on flying, but I've got a new fuel system that needs checking in the air. I ran it on the ground yesterday and everything seems okay, but I do NOT want to be messing with it Saturday.

Steve

Open flying on Friday, we might be the only guys there. Their frequency box is locked up, so if there a several guys out there, coordination will be up to you guys. They know we are going to be there so we might get lucky and have an open pin box.

Thanks, Eddie.

Hopefully, I'll only need one flight; but if Tobe's DA 100 makes it back in time, he'll want to fly his Edge too.

He and I have been really snakebit since we started this game. We've had more heartburn with stuff not working right, falling apart, etc., in the last three months than we've had in the past three years. I hope its not a sign...

Conrad, hope to see you and Howie out there Friday afternoon.

Eddie,
Who is going to be scorekeeper for the mini contest on Sunday?
Will you have a printer at the field?

I have Dave's IMAC Scoring program on my laptop, but do not have the 2006 knowns entered. I can bring my laptop and If you can get somebody to enter the 2006 Basic and sportsman knowns, then we can enter the scores from the mini contest and give comparitive performance reports to the pilots. These reports are great tools to se how you are doing compared to others on a particular maneuver, and shows where you are loosing points and need to improve.

Also even though I am flying basic I know the aresti, scoring, stuff really well from being CD of 5 contests. Let me know if you need help with the instruction phase on Sat morning. If you like I can give a spill on entering the box, and efficient flightline running...etc..

Let me know or give me a call

Its a 50 and my first DA on 27% H9 CAP. Its my second cap and I am used to running a finicky fuji 64 so this should be a much better combo. Thanks I will definately take any the help I can get.

RE: South Central Basic Bootcamp

Will there be concessions? If not how far to food/convienance store?

Yak_54_flyer 01-12-2006 08:33 AM

RE: South Central Basic Bootcamp

Good Thinking Dan

Sorry no concessions. There is a coke machine close to where the field is at the camp ground. If you go back to town it is only 3 miles. It was hard to find anyone to do concessions since the fire ban here keeps anyone from cooking outdoors. The field being at a state park would get us all in the gray bar hotel if we got caught and then picking up trash on weekends. :)

Eddie
