Getting Started??
Hey guys, I'm sure this has probably been covered but I was thinking about giving this IMAC stuff a try.. Mostly I want to improve my flying skills to help my pylon racing.. It seems many of the top pylon guys, past and present, started in some kind of precision flying before pylon and they are so smooth on the course it makes me sick.. Anyway, I've got a Sig 300XS with a OS 160.. I'm hoping this will be suffecient because I don't think my wife will be too thrilled about more planes in the basement :D
So here's a couple questions: 1. Is there any events around (within a few hours drive) the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area that I could go see? 2. Can a caller be found at the event? I don't currently have anyone to do this... 3. I've read some on the Flying Circus forum on reading Aresti but is there some more info somewhere? Thanks in advance... |
RE: Getting Started??
Check out www.mini-iac.com. There you will find just about everything you need to know. Don't let not having a caller stop you from going to a contest. There will be someone there that will be more than willing to help you out. Just have fun!!!

RE: Getting Started??
No one has mentioned the contests in the NC region:
http://www.mini-iac.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=122 On the IMAC web page check out those little tabs near the top of the page. You can look at your region and get information specifically tailored to your area. Good luck! |
