I had a few hours to Kill and calculated SC Basic regional standings based on the scoring system used for Sportsman through Unlimited.

RE: South Central Basic Standings

got and fixed it

I love numbers

39 pilots
69 contest entries
4 rounds per contest
2 sequences per round
2 judges per sequence
10 manuevers per sequence

That is 1104 times a basic sequence had been judged this year in SC
11,040 judged manuevers flown
at 8 minutes per round that is 2208 minutes or 36 hours 48 minutes

Our region is growing

Shaun the best 4 contests count. You only flew one with a score of 813. If you hav flown 4 contest and got 813 at each contest you would have 3252 points and be in 6th. Not to shabbl for little to no practice

You did good - only flying in one (1) contest!!!

Dan, what was/is that new plane that you are getting? What engine?

Bobby

P.S. I wondered where the form was that everyone is using. The SC and SA sites are woefully lacking!

I got a 42% Dalton 260 with a 3W150QS on cans

Cool, very cool. I, however, decided to stay with the 35%-size and ordered a new AW Yak 54 for delivery the first part of December!!

Did you get a kit or ARF?

Bobby

I have to give a big CONGRATS!!! to Dan. He has busted his A__!! to get where he is in his flying. I have seen him flying in 105 degree weather all the way to where its raining and he throws a bag over his transmitter to just get some practice in. I was always right there with him ( sometimes) but his flying and skills are really strong. Im worried about competiing with him next year. He already flys a pretty good 2006 sequence and he has not practiced it that much. Hes gonna give us sportsman a hell of a run next year. But in reallity I look forward to next year. Dan and I will be flying the same sequence. So we get to practice the unknowns together, figuring this and that out together. We should be a pretty good team.
But he really has put his heart in this sport/hobby. I have to admit im inspired by the drive he has and he keeps me going at times.
Keep it up Dan!!!!!!!!!

Whats with the all the 40% planes in basic ? :D

give a guy a fighting chance - the ones with the "mini" 30% planes.

Dan: dont you have to move up next year ? hahaha

( I've got a 40% Carden Cap under construction -- so there !! ) LOL

Dangerous Dan 09-21-2006 06:47 PM

RE: South Central Basic Standings

yea yea I'm moving up, Might even fly the 33% in regionals if I don't get any practice on the 42%.
