The IMAC Nats start today in Muncie, IN.
Any info is appreciated. Last year the IMAC website did not contain any ongoing info, however the previous year the web site did. Thanx to all. ed |

IMAC Nats
I wanted to go to the nats this year, but $180 entry fee is alittle much for a late register. just my opinion. thanks deweyd

IMAC Nats
Guys I'm interested in who's flying, number of contestants in each class, type of planes, difficulty of unknowns and mostly, who's winning.
Thanx for sticking to the topic, if anyone has any info. The IMAC website didn't have any current info yest. Ed |
IMAC Nats
I was not able to attend the Nat's last year and the same holds true for this year. If anyone would send me updates from the Nat's I would gladly post them to the IMAC site. Spread the word!

IMAC Nats
I dont have any solid numbers info, but I spoke to Gatewood last night on the phone:
there are 5 piolts in Advanced. so far as he could tell David Moser was on top with another if the younger fellas right behind him. he didnt specify how many showed for unlimited, but told me Leesburg was on top in that class. no news form the other site (sportsman, Intermediate) not much, but I hope that helps Ed, Mark Cheers Hubb |

Sure more will get posted as the weekend gets closer. Ed |
IMAC Nats
The AMA has been posting the Nats News on the web, no scores for IMAC as yet but I am sure they will have them in there after today. So far they seem to have the newletters posted up each evening, hopefully it continues.

IMAC Nats
Hey Hubb - Jenn have that baby yet????
Nats are over with and what a great time had by all. There were 15 in Unlimited, 5 in Advanced, 10 in Intermediate and 11 in sportsman. For the NC guys, Kurt came in 2nd in Unlimited and I came in 2nd in Sportsman. The complete scores are suppossed to be on the Nats site tomorrow. It was HOT and HUMID, but no wind to speak of. The unknowns were very well written and flowed nicely. They were not overly difficult, but weren't easy either. K factors were slightly higher than the knowns. Steve Evans, Cathy Evans, Stevie, and Tom Wheeler all deserve a big THANK YOU for the job they did running the contest. The guy who won sportsman came from California in an A36 Bonanza. He took the seats out of the back and got a 33% Aeroworks Edge 540 and all of his gear in the plane!!!!!! There were pilots from every region. They came from as far away as California, Arizona, Oregon, Main, Florida, Kansas, and Texas. John Schroder and part of Team Florida came straight from the world Freestyle Championships. They drove straight through and all looked a little tired the first day. I had my own sleep deprivation experience. I was practicing on Sunday evening and blew the back of one of my cans out (Pefa's). I had to drive back home to Burlington, KY (3 hrs) - pick up my stock mufflers - and drive back. I got back around 2:00 AM, got up a little after 5:00 AM - modified the plane and had it ready to fly with about 20 minutes to spare. I hope to have some pics up soon. I will post the link when I am done. Keith |
