Start sequence problem
#1

This pertains to the old 160 (see post directly below :-)
on start she lights right off on propane and commences spool up but pretty soon the combustion gets unstable and blows out - I guess before the Kero is introduced.
I can reset throttle/trim before spool down, initiate a new start and it will now fire right up. I have a feeling if I could get the Kero coming in sooner on preheat it would fire right up first time. Towards this end I reduce preheat temp to 80. Also increased start up to AUTO -004. Still fails first start.
Any help would be appreciated.

Well, just for posterity I’ll tell you all how I fixed this problem.
As I said, I’m using propane and it was blowing out on start. If it stayed lit long enough for the Kero to start then it would start up fine. Most time not.
I tried turning up the start gas value a couple times but finally turned it up a bunch and it doesn’t even think about going out now.
Starts up great now.
