Default wrap on pumps, silly question?

the plastic shrink wrap that comes on the Jetcat fuel pump, is it suposed to be removed so the motor won´t heat up or left on to protect it from dirt?

Default RE: wrap on pumps, silly question?

Not silly at all, leave it on to keep the crap out of the motor can.

Hope that helps,
