Fuel pump break-in

I have not had great luck on fuel pump longevity in my P60. Does any-one break-in their new pumps and if so what is the procedure???? Just got another one.
Thanks for input.

Dave

RE: Fuel pump break-in

hook the in/out to your overflow/taxi tank (with fuel in it)..........hook a new AA battery to the leads and let it go, when the batt is dead (or nearly dead) you're pump is ready.

Is it the pump or the motor on the pump that is the problem?

It's the pump .... The small stainless steel gears, 2 of them per pump.

The motor's brushes seat themselves very quickly.
