Default DX8 Throttle reverse and timer issue

Hi,
I got my DX8 about a week ago and setup all my planes on it, no problem, love the DX8.
I run into an issue with one of my nitro model its is an Escapade 40, I had to reverse the throttle servo to run right, choose the timer to be "throttle 1-time" at 25% but now the Tx "see" the stick input reversed, means stick all the way up is 0% and stick all the way down is 100% and that means the the timer just start at any point below stick input of 75%. (hope this makes sense).
Anyone have any ideas of how to fix it?
Thak you!

Did you register your radio and put in version 2.06 of the code, or are you still running 2.02?

When you read the PDF, you'll find this is already covered.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the quick reply!
I did register and updated the radio to 2.06.

There is an issue. There is also a workaround. What you need to do when you are setting up is to be sure you setup the timer before you reverse the channel and it will work correctly.
You can set the timer back to Trainer activated Countdown.Go back and set the reverse to normal.Go back and set your timer to 1-time throttle and then go back to the servo setup and reverse the throttle channel. This should clear it up. Or just reset and then make sure you set the timer up before you reverse the throttle channel. It should be fine after that.

Depending on the servo model, another route woul be to just reprogram the servo to be reversed. No need for any work arounds.

As I understand it, analogs are not programable. That is why I said, depending on the servo model.Lately, I have been sticking to Digital HV Hitec servos and 2S LiPos.

Thanks Todd, that is what I thought, this was my first airplane so I didn't go with digitals but my next one is on the way (H9 Spitfire) and this one will have Hitec digitals, not HV though.

You will need to purchase the Hitec Digital Servo Programmer. There are a couple of different ones.

Reference the throttle stick. Which is the preferred, for the throttle to have a rachetted setting or a smooth setting. My DX8 came with the throttle set for smooth controll and I changed it to ratchet, but have since found that in 3D flying that it seems to be an interferrence. Any one have thoughts as to the best setting?

I like the smooth setting, I think it gives you more authority and prescision.

Kind of what I was thinking. So, I think I will set it back to the smooth setting and give it a try today. Thanks for the feed back so quick.
