Default DX-9 - Increase Elevator For Landing

I'd like to program switch to increase the elevator center point slightly for landing to help slow down the plane without having to hold the stick. How can this be done on a DX-9?

Since the amount of elevator deflection required to achieve what you want will vary with speed, why don't you just do like the full scale guys do and trim it?

The reason for wanting to use the switch is to avoid having to retrim the plane for level flight afterwards. I suppose a flight mode could be set up to remember a preset trim. I will explore that.

That would be the easiest way to get a fixed deflection on a switch unless your model has flaps in which case the flap system will give you a predetermined elevator deflection as well.

No flaps. On the simulator, I've tried using the increased elevator deflection using a flight mode to remember the trim setting, and it works fine. I will test it in the air this week if the winds die on.
