Default DX8G2 firmware update issue

I have a DX8G2. I installed the SD card to load the latest update. I was a bit anxious and
mistakenly turned off the radio. YUK! Now the only thing that happens is the orange bars
blink. Is there something I can do, OR do I need to send it in for service? The manual
only states NOT to turn the radio off while the upload is taking place.
Thank you

I would try putting the SD card in your computer, and erasing it - then downloading the update from Spektrum's website again, and starting over.

Once you've tried, it renames the file on the SD card, so it won't automatically update if you simply try again. Clearing the card off, putting a fresh copy of the SPMTX.SAX file on the card should cause it to update. Only this time wait a bit..

Good luck

Thank you. I'll try that. I was leaving in 20 minutes to go to the post office and mail the radio in for service.
I'll try your recommendation first.

Do you have the appropriate SD card? The radios do not like high performance cards so you need to make sure it's a slower card and not over 32GB.

If it's a card you have used before than the above information does not apply to you.
