using dx6e as master and dx6i as slave and an ar620 reciever. while flying with the students radio in control, the master will beep twice, then the student looses control, master has control, after about 30 secs slave regains control, all batteries fully charged

How close are you to one another? It sounds like the RF connection between your two transmitters is getting interrupted.
