Default Datasafe 2 PC Interface

I notice that the New Products screen shows 'Datasafe 2 PC Interface Set'. How does this product differ from the old Datasafe and when will we be able to use the interface on 662's, 378's, etc?

The main differences are a revised interface that uses a standard 9 pin connector rather than the 25 pin and is a little smaller. Another difference is that the software is more compatible with today's operating systems. Aside from this, there really isn't much operating differences, aside from it being improved. There is no transmit function on the 662 and 378 to allow this to be a possibility. Those transmitters do not have the capability to send their model parameters to other transmitters or to a datasafe, so this is not possible.

Danny,

Do you know if Datasafe will ever have PC adjustable parameters? It would be much easier to have everything on one screen where I could point and click to set up a complex model.

Thanks,

Mark M.

Mark,
I'm sure that one day something like that will be available. I don't know when of course. But it is something that we do get requests for regularly.
