Default JR Buddy Box as 72MHz Radio?

Can this JR buddy box also be used as a radio if you buy a receiver?
From the looks of it, it seems like it can be a master radio because of the trainer switch on it. It also looks a lot of some of the other 4 channel JR radios I have seen. Having an antenna makes me think it would work as well. Can it double as another radio if I have the right receiver?

You would also need a TX crystal and antenna, it does not come with them.

I know I promised that I was not going to interfere on this forum again, but....

Should you tell this person that in the USA the FCC has prohibited the end user from messing with the TX crystals? That operation needs to be done by a certified technician?
