DXS-7 Loss of binding
Using the; DXS-7 system, a 6V Fromeco regulator attached to a 2300 mAh LiPo (good charge) with 5 Hitec digital servos......................flew airplane 10 minutes without issue, landed and shutdown receiver and transmitter.
5 minutes later, the receiver would not power up for next flight (as indicated by the failure of the amber lights to illuminate and the controlls to respond) Similar to the malfunction experienced by "oldtimer" (click on link)

Ya left the "oldtimer" hanging guys.........shame on you!
Any suggestions, anybody.
Thanks

RE: DXS-7 Loss of binding
Did you press the bind button on the TX when you turned the power switch on? Even if you did so accidently, you must re-bind as the TX must be bound to the RX. Also make sure you are not standing too close to the model, and try to move away from large metal objects.

RE: DXS-7 Loss of binding
No sir, I did not. This has happened on numerous occassions. DX-7 system works great for me except for this occassional problem. The one remarkable characteristic that I failed to mention is that the receiver will not bind with the 6V regulator installed. Greatful that this did not happen in the air. I thank everybody for all responses.

That sounds like a linking problem then if you are certain that you did not press the bind button on the TX during power up. As I mentioned in my last post, try taking a few steps back and move away from any large metal objects.

I had the same problem with a new Rec. It would bind OK on set up but as soon as it was turned off and on the LED's in the Rec's would either not light or only the remote would link. I sent it to our distributor and as it was only a day old it was replaced.

You were lucky. I never got a reasonable explaination from Spektrum. They never addressed the issue or my specific concerns. Still having problems, selling my system. Going to Futaba. Tired of dealing with them. Good Luck
