It really depends upon the MAH rating on the batteries as to how high the charge current can be. Also, NiMh do not particularly like Fast Charging. Usually, the WallWort charger that comes with the radio is adequate, but takes overnight as it only charges at 150mah or so. I have used Triton charges with NiMh Tx batteries for the XP9303, but I usually charge outside the Tx. Even 2500mah NiMh do not like 1amp charge rates. The quality of batteries you buy also determines how high a charge rate you can use.

I use LiPos in my Tx and charge at 1amp outside the Tx.

I have been charging, in the Xmtr, 4 Kodak 2100 mil Ni-Mh Rechargable Batteries ,using the 150 mil wall charger that came with the radio. Overnight charging tops out at 5.5 volts as indicating on the Xmtr screen. Been doing this over a year now.. So far, so good !

The book says the system will work down to 3.8v but I wouldn't push it that far ! I think the flashing would be warning enough ! I never got down to the flashing....[X(]
