Default dead ar 500

my spectrum ar500 was working great. i turned on the plane and .no movement at all. checked the rx battery ...ok. no lite in the rx at all and it's gets very warm. there should be even a blinking lite if it ain't bound to to tx. guess it goes back to horizon for repair.............RON seems to me these spectrum rx are not reliable. iv'e seen to many go out.

I've never had a single problem, nor have any of my friends. But I haven't used an AR500....

the ar500 comes with the DX -5 RADIO. even though i have a DX-6i, i bought three ar500 for my other planes. i guess it's just one of those things. i see if horizon will fix it under warrenty. might take awhile. i hear stories of over a month to five weeks for repair..................RON

There are some folks here on RCU who've got experience with the AR500 but I'm not one of them so I can't offer any assistance, but keep checking back here and I think you'll get some info from guys who've used 'em.

Well looks like I may have steered you wrong on getting a response....[]

Look up Dick Hanson and shoot him a PM, I know he's played with these little rx's (along with almost all the others) quite a bit and seems to like 'em.

This response should kick your question back to the top of the list and maybe that'll help as well.
