Default 10x to 9303 JR Data Transfer program ?

I have a JR 10x on 72Mhz and have just bought a JR9303, 2.4Ghz. Will the JR Data Transfer program take the models and their settings from the 10x and put them in the 9303? If so that would be awesome and I would buy it in a heart beat.
Thank you in advacne for your help.

You should contact Horizon. While the program supports both the 10x and 9303, I can find no mention in the instruction manual or on the program menus about transferring the program from one model of transmitter to another. However I have only a 9303 so I can’t experiment. You can print out the transmitter program which would be helpful in a manual transference.

Also keep in mind the program is designed to run on Windows XP and 2000.

Last time I checked, (over 3 years ago) that software did not support model transfer. It supports data backup for one model or another, but you can't transfer data from one model to another.

I do have experience manually copying the numbers from one radio to another. From a 10X to an 8103 and eventually to a 9303. Manually copying the numbers brings you so close that you "could" fly it that way. You should check it on the bench to make sure. It is tedious, but there is no money invested.

Allan, Does the software allow you to export the data in any other format? Or to "Save As"?

I assume that you can save a group of models (up to the 30 limit) and then create another group (again up to 30 max) and use these files to switch back and forth between model types such as Group A may be all indoor, Group B outdoor sport, Group C sailplanes, etc. Am I correct on this? I don't find a lot of detail on the app. on the horizon site.

Thanks,

Ron

Any word on whether or not a version will be available for Windows 7?

Ron,

The program only saves the data in its own format, which I guess is a binary file. The "save as" just changes the file name. The only limitation on the number of files saved is the space on your hard drive. While the program saves the model number, it is only for your information. You can load a file into any memory on your transmitter. Also, the program records the model type. When you transfer a file back to the transmitter, the type is set. I have all my models, ACRO, GLID, and HELI stored in one folder on my computer.

Thanks for the info Allan. Trying to decide if I want to spend the money for it or not.
