Default JR X9303 won't bind to new AR500 RX

I just picked up a new AR500 RX, plugged it in to bind and it gets no joy from my X9303. If I try binding with my Futaba 9C w/Spektrum module, it binds right up. I've had problems in the past where I can't get a bind with the 9303 until after I bind with the 9C (or my DX7 before I sold it). But, in this instance, she won't do it. Any suggestions?

Tom

(Edited to correct TX Model.)

that's because you trying to bind a 2.4Ghz DSM2 receiver to a SPCM or FM Band:72/50 SYN output transmitter......

No. The JR XP9303 is a 2.4Ghz DSM2 TX. This is the one that is only 2.4Ghz DSM2 without modules.

Not to split hairs but the X9303 is the 2.4 only, the XP9303 is the module based version.

Is the reciever in bind mode?

If so hold the bind button down, turn on the transmitter and wait, make sure its not right next to the receiver or model while you're trying to bind.

Okay, I'll take that correction. It's actually the X9303, not the XP. Thanks!

The RX is in bind. And I've backed up about ten feet, holding the bind button when I turn it on and waited about two minutes. Still no joy.

I'd suspect a problem with the transmitter. Even more so since it seems to have a history of it.

Binding isn't black magic. All it's doing is storing a binary number in a non volitale memory buffer.

I tend to agree. Especially since I just swapped the RX for a different one and it bound right up to a test model I had programmed. I switched over to the real model program I wanted to use and couldn't get it to rebind. But, it'll bind to my Futaba w/module every time. I was down to 10v on the TX battery. I'll try charging overnight and see if that helps. If not, think it's due for a service period.

No joy!! 11.5 volts and still won't bind. The RX I'm trying now, the satellite will stop blinking like it's trying to bind as soon as I turn the radio on, but the main RX just sits there with the fast blink waiting to find something to bind with.

The green LED comes on for a few seconds, but then goes out. I don't recall if that's normal or not.

Interesting. I went into the system menu and looked around. Didn't change anything. However, when trying to exit, it looks like it was asking if I wanted to reinitialize, reset system settings, or reset all settings. I said to reinit. Now it binds both RX's without a problem! Perhaps all it needed was a good reboot.

I just tried it again and the problem reoccurred. Seems whenever I reset the system data, not the model memory, it'll work until I turn the TX off, then back on without going into binding mode. Anytime I turn it on without entering binding mode, such as changing model memories, then next time I try to bind it won't. Definitely going to send it in for diagnostics.

That LED should stay on unless the button is pressed. If the light is intermittent, then it has to go back to Horizon
