Does the Spektrum line of transmitters have some sort of bus technology like their competitors?

We support SRXL, which is an open industry standard championed by Multiplex. Our AR9020 and AR12x20 receivers provide SRXL output for use with our XP8000, an 8-servo control port.

Naturally, I cannot divulge where we're going with SRXL and X-Plus.

Our X-Bus runs on the SRXL protocol. Honestly! It's just not going to show up as a Multiplex or other device.

Please don't get annoyed because I'm just trying to understand this subject. According to the specs on the DX18 it has 2048 resolution on the first 10 channels. The X-Plus 8 module is designed to allow expansion of up to 8 servos for non-control surface functions such as bomb drops, lights, winches, retractable landing gear, and many more. These 8 channels only have the capability of accessories and are only 512 resolution. The JR x-bus technology can put any x-bus channel on a control surface allowing up to 4 servos per channel all of which can be programed individually. That is something Spektrum does not have. Both JR and Futaba have the technology, not just a 8 ch expansion system with 512 resolution that can not be used on a control surface. Am I missing something?

You asked about the bus, not the protocol or products, so I answered accordingly. Sorry.

The SRXL protocol we use for X-Plus channels also supports the 12 base channels at full 2048 resolution and speed/latency. There is not an X-Plus product at this time which breaks the channels out, but there is no technical reason why there couldn't be.

It sounds like you are asking now for a product which supports the full capabilities of the protocol. In that case I need to give the "sorry, I can neither confirm nor deny any potential new products or features" reply.
