There should be very little play in the 811 servos. Check to make sure the arm is tight on the servo and that there is no play of the arm on the servo splines. If there is some play, a new gear set should get rid of it.

hi danny everything is tight on the control rods. with everything hooked up and in neutral i can move the elevator up & down a sixteenth of a inch and the trailing edge of the elev. i would think that would cause some flutter dont you??

i called tech support this morning and they told there is going to be play in the servo and really not to worry about it ( WHAT ).

p.s. these are brand new out of the box never been flown.

i have 537 that i threw across the room and into the trash because even after changing the gears there was still tons of slop coming out of them. my advice check out some servos at your lhs (so you can check them out ahead of time), before you buy / order them.

allen ya know you should'nt have to do that but you might be right appentarily plus i thought this thread was to find out the right info on there product's now i can't even get a answer to see what is the problem with these servo's. i know i'am not the only one that has had this problem. WELL MAYBE IT'S TIME I SWITCHED BRANDS OF SERVO'S.

thanks anyway's danny

Nothing against jr, 4 radios there my main brand but there servos are crap. Go with the hitec 605bb there like 30 bucks are smooth, tight and put out around 70oz. Not bad for the money. Digitals use futaba, expensive but at that point who cares.

allen.. up till this time i never had a problem with the jr product's. i just want an answer on why these servos are so sloppy and if i can get them fixed the correct way. if not i liked too see if i can get a refund on them. other wise i'am out of $200.00 I CANT AFFORD TO TAKE THAT KIND OF LOSS

After digging in to this a bit, it looks like there is a little bit of play of the output gear on the post of the servo case below. This is a single bearing servo, so it will not be as slop free as more expensive servos that are dual bearing. The play however is very minimal and will not cause any issues with flutter.

Hey Bodyman,

Did you put the 811's on a GP WP? Don't know if they have enough Torque. Are you using 4.8 or 6V?
