Hello
I saw the DX-8 on the spectrum site, when will it be released and what will be the pricepoint?

Thanks

There is no manual on line yet, or have I missed it. Will there be demo units at the shows, Cosford perhaps?

Is the DX8 a 2048 resolution radio?
The DX7 SE is, so I was wondering what path they took with the newer radio.
In Spektrum's site there's an article about how unimportant resolution in a radio is but in my book that feature is a deal breaker, especially with the latest generation of 11 and 12 bit servos. Any info, anybody?

The DX8 is 2048 and 11ms.

Thanks onewasp. I read somewhere the same thing but it wasn't the official site. Could you share your source?
I'm really looking forward to this radio because it will be a perfect upgrade for my DX7.

Available in UK August from http://alshobbies.com/shop/lookupstock.php?pc=41880, The uk Horizon hobbies site gies full details http://www.horizonhobby.co.uk/aeroon...x8/e6_dx8.html. A columnist for a UK mag went to the launch last week and said it should be released this week.

Does anyone know if it will be at the LMA meet next week at Cosford.

There are two, 1. Paul Beard 2. the Horizon/Spektrum staff at the Toledo show.

If you think it through it wouldn't be otherwise as these are the same resolution and frame rate numbers as the 'se' which has been available for some time.

The JR 11X is 2048 and 22ms as are the 12X, X9303, X9503.

I hope that they put the gyro rate/head hold on channel 5 rather than Aux2 like JR forces you to use, or allow you to assign it to the gear channel otherwise it's a deal breaker. There are thousands of 6 channel receivers out there on small heli's and not having the ablility to put the rate/hh function on the rudder dual rate switch will cost them a lot of sales.

Where is the promised telemetry??? Now that I have held off buying the Aurora to get the DX8 w/ telemetry there is no mention of this capability...

What's up with that?

Hi Guys

The Map price of the new set is $429.99 and they should be available by early September (this is the initial projected date - but could change)

I am a model shop owner and have an allocation from the first batch.

Just to confirm that it does include the telemetry unit and various accessories such as the 16 mb sd card

I will be happy to post more if anyone wants more info

Thanks

Hi,

You can tell me what size the AR8000 receiver? I can fit it into a T-rex 450 PRO at the bottom inside the frame of carbon?

In this photo comes another accessory-side receiver, what would that be? How big is it? It is connected with the receiver?

I would like to know the size of the rx preferably in mm or inches, as I wish to fit it into an alex glider and need at least 1 7 channel rx, the ar7000 is too small.

Not seeing a lot of DX8 excitment around here. I have a radio in the first allocation at my LHS. Anyone else going to be an early adopter?

Have heard that the first shipment of DX8 radios, orignally due in around now, have been pushed back a few weeks...anyone have good information on that?

I like it. Smoother minimal crevices for grime and dust to get caught in. This thing programs like butter! Came with a 128mb card not 16mb, I’ll take that. I like the feel. It has a fast throttle cut off (not the trim cut off like the DX7) that you can set up to your taste. The telemetry is nice and easy to read. It programs fast and intuitively. My only gripe is that you can change switches ( I changed my gear over to aux 2 for an fiber optic kill switch) and that is nice. The bad thing is that the power up warning dose not follow it. That is based on the switch not the function. I talked to a tech about it and he said he will bring it up to the designers and hopefully address it in a firmware update soon. And that is another cool thing, I can update this radio at home.
No ratchet on the throttle by the way.
