Which JR\Spectrum receiver did you crash with?
 

I'm starting a poll on JR\Spectrum reviver failures. i am on a mission to find out why so many JR\Spectrum users are losing their aircrafts . please select ONE receiver you may think caused a crash .

I think your data collection should also include the battery specs. We all know that most of the spektrum crashes are caused by imporper battery capacity. You should have walked away with that piece of information from the last thread you started on this subject.

i'm not including every detail on every installation. i'm trying to establish a pattern of failures from one or more receivers.

I've had exactly one crash with a spektrum radio - and it absolutely was NOT the fault of the radio! I flew into the ground.. plain and simple. Racing will do that to you..

Other than that, with 6V batteries and good switches, I've had no issues.

Let's all go back to 72MHz radios, we all KNOW there were never any crashes with THOSE radio sets...... :eek:

You're missing quite a few choices here. The one victory you must award JR/Spektrum in the Great 2.4Ghz War of 2010receiver selection! [8D]

- I have never had a problem with a JR/Spektrum 2.4/DSM2 RX

I would fall into the last choice...not one issue in 2 years flying many of the receivers listed in many different types of aircraft. ;) Before you label me a JR/Spektrum fanboy, I also fly Hitec 2.4 (Aurora) which I like a LOT.

And you missed the 6100 which is the same as the 6100e.

The 6110 is the successor to the 6100 and they should be considered different receivers.

Now this is just getting ridiculous, are you just going to keep making threads until you get the answer you want? You say so many JR users are loosing their aircraft, yet the only evidence I see of this is threads here on RCU, which may or may not be the truth.

If you don't trust your equipment, just buy something else already!

By the way I have 8 - AR7000, 3 - 921, 1 - 500, 2 - 6200 receivers, all of which have functioned flawlessly.

I've had about enough of you. get a life. here's a newbie that just joined RCU " 4/2010" and already causing problems. you my friend need to learn manners . go slam some else's forum.

he must be a rep. or gets a discount...just ignore him, I know his type, no matter how many planes he dunks because of his equipment he'll never admit it, i know cause i used to be him, took me 3 expensive planes and a bunch of cheap ones before i saw the light too..

Oooo snap! LOL. I can't wait to read about what system you bought to replace your JR. Furthermore, at the time I stopped keeping a flight log I had 3643 flights on JR/Spektrum 2.4 GHZ equipment. I have no problems whatsoever where others claim to have epic fails, yet I'm the one doing wrong? funny.

Where did you hear so many JR/Spektrum pilots are losing their planes? Our club flies almost exclusively on DSM2 technology. I've yet to see (or hear of) a radio failure.

There should also be a selection for "I have never had a crash attributed to my Spektrum receiver."

As usual on RC there's alway a few that decay a reasonable concern or forum into trash. this is no exception. And to think , this is the future of our country. sad.

When the "problem" that you precive is not percieved by others as a problem, it usually ends this way. When you start several threads looking for a "problem" that is not there, then you will get responses like these. When on one thread people tell you that you are asking the wrong question, and you turn around and ask it again, then you will get a similar outcome. The fact that you are able to turn it around and put "the future of our country" in question based on these answers, speaks volumes about your logic process.

There is no inherent problem with a particular receiver, problems begin with a combination of factors that most of the time start with an improper installation.

Geez freakin' louise! What is with you people? A problem that isn't there? Tell that to my HL F15. Oh. I forgot. Probably improper installation! You know, I'm really starting to lose my patience with loud mouthed posters who don't actually read carefully what others have said. I'm frankly getting sick and tired of it. If you don't have anything intelligent to say keep your crap to yourself.

I wouldn't go talking about WB1's logic process when you go around insulting those of us who've lost planes because of UNPREVENTABLE failure modes of the electronics. Your snide little comment about improper installations shows you have no problem shooting your mouth off when you have no idea whatsoever on what you're talking about. Were you there when my (or any of the others') planes went down? Do you have the slightest inkling of what the "installation" was? No. So shut up with the insults.

Oooo snap! girlfren it doesn't matter which one i replaced it with what matters is "I" no longer had trust in the company or system i was using for my "HOBBY" get it...H.O.B.B.Y.
I had lots of flights with jr too, however i have a life and no time to count over 3000 flights...really?????? i go to the airfield to fly not count flights...
And for what you're doing wrong you're attacking folks who are just answering a simple question and giving their opinions why don't you take the propaganda to folks that don't know better instead of trying to peddle that crap to folks that have actually crashed planes with the system either by user error or manufacturers negligence.

I've logged over a thousand flights with spectrum/JR 2.4 equipment . I have never ever had a problem other than all the dic heads with inproper installations ranting on and on and on about "total lockout with JR 2.4 " :D were talking about toy planes here, so get a life, be a man.

You dont have any models listed. For all these guys know you are just a wannabe. If you arnt a wannabe ill bet you are a little foamie flier who dosnt understand brownout and has never watched $3000. fly into the ground. these forums are for education. If you pay attention you could learn how to prevent your spek from wrecking up a good plane.

I had a 921 that crashed vintage 79 lanier arf clipped wing cub. I was flying inverted ad low over the corn when I forgot to cross the sticks to snap it back over. My receiver should have been smart enough to make the correction and save my plane. Shame on JR[>:]:D

Just because he joined in April does not mean that he is a noobie. If you go look at his profile you can see that he is pretty far from being a noob. If you are worried about JR/Spektrum and 2.4 then go buy another brand on 72mhz. I have been flying JR for 3 years and never had radio problems and just bought a DX7 and not worried one bit. just my 2 cents
