im getting into 1/8 racing what is better a DX3R/DX3S

Hi people I have a futaba 2pl radio transmitter at the minuite but thinking of goin Spektrum and getting eather a DxR or DX3s which one is better and what's the difference as I want to start 1/8 on road racing
Are Spektrums reliable ? please post your comments
