Default TF P-51 kit cowl problem

I'm building the TF P-51 kit, with the US engines 41, soft mount.
If I build the cowl the way the plans show, I won't be able to get the upper engine mount bolt out on the carb side of the engine.
Wondering what others have done ?
Is there a FG cowl that would work better?

Bring the bolts in from the fuse side and put a nut/nuts on the engine side

curious what sort of soft mount you are using

Here's a picture, its a Great Planes mount.
I bought the engine at a swap meet, new in the box.
It came with the mount.

Here is a picture of the small TF P-51. It is really a half cowl. IF the one in you are building is the same, maybe the guys can get a better idea of what you are asking.

I think I may have a solution.
Instead of gluing the cowl to the fuse, I can glue it to a plywood plate, so it's removable.

Bassed on you picture I'm not seeing the problem, you just need to cut the ring behind the spinner enough to get a socket wrench in there
Looks to be enough to get passed the flywheel with that big 5" spinner up there

I'd glue the sides to hold the spinner ring, and then take off your spinner back plate and remove just enough materail to get the wrench on the bolts and to be able to remove the engine. Then put it all back and proceed to finish up the cowl

good luck
