I may revisit it when bored, but for now, a few strips of cloth and dope will cover up the mounting holes, and I can remove the strut mounts from the middle and patch those holes too. The plane looks good though as it is, and will probably fly just fine with the struts where they are, but just looks weird.

When one wing just isn't enough!

When I got it to fly level, it flew pretty nice, but relax on the elevator and it went looping. Eventually one aileron either stuck, or the servo failed as I lost roll control and that was all it took to lose it. Thankfully I was low and slow and a bush took care of the rest.

It was, only damaged the cowl, the lower wings at the roots, the interwing struts and the upper cabin. All but the lower wings have been repaired, will do the two inner rib repairs on each lower wing some day, the wing tubes shattered the ribs, and the cowl got munched, but the resin never set for the repairs, so got a new cowl instead.

ACDII, thats probably why the original full scale had an engine out of a PT-19 to get the weight out front. It even had the entire cowl! It was an AG plane. Strange looking duck!

that looks neat. as a first time builder, I had a hard time cutting the sticks for my rear fuse. is there a technique or easier way to get the proper angle on both ends of the stick and achieve that snug fitting joints?

what I did was trial and error, leaving some parts with .5mm gaps.

i wonder why manufacturers didnt just furnish a cut ply for the fuse just like the sig 1/5 cub. makes building easier, yet still fun.

The stick build is more scale like than the ply sided 1/5th, even though the 1/5th is pretty scale like. Cut over size and sand to fit is how I do it. I used to use an angle jig, but it eventually wore and lost accuracy.

I also do the cut long and sand to fit. I have a small table top sander and I put a fine disk on it, turn it on beside my work table. I sand, test, sand, test and keep repeating just taking very little off at a time.

that could be the reason why I find it hard cutting the sticks to a proper angle. i dont have the right tools. those are really nice tools by the way. unfortunately, none of those or anything close is available here in the Philippines. time to DIY I guess.
