I'm late but pl give me a number I'd love 46 if it hasn't already gone. I have a sig 1/5th to build and I'd like to convert it to a super cub with a fully cowled engine and operating flaps, has anyone done this before?

You will like that kit, it builds fast and really light.

I would seriously beef up the upper cabin frame where it meets the wing. It's a fairly weak spot. Other than that, awesome kit to build. I made a rookie mistake and lost mine. I got soooo excited to see it on floats that I forgot to reset the cg . Big difference in cg from wheels to floats. Let's just say it didn't fly like it used to.

Are you referring to the Sig Anniversary kit? What would you suggest for this?

I have literally hundreds of flights on my 1/5th scale Sig Anniversary Cub and there is no need to reinforce the cabin. The design is solid as it utilizes functional struts.

Here's a photo of mine.

I have an original Goldberg cub I purchased 15+ yes ago. So I am trying to decide if I should sell it and get the H9 ARF or just build it. The reason. The h9 has the lowest 'published' wing loading Of all in the 80ish" WS group.

I love to build but also have a Kadet SR on my radar I've always wanted to build

So' anyone flown these 2? Much difference? Anyone flown the Goldberg w a simple 40 2cycle? If I do build the Goldberg...... I will add 1 additional bay to each wing to get to 80". The goal is a floater and traditional 'pure cub' scale flying. :-)

I was only talking about the pieces above the windows. If I remember right, I put two cross braces to strengthen it. Now that I think of it, I think that one was the smaller 72 in. Version. Sorry for any confusion. Nice looking cub by the way.

I'm in for the Cub Brotherhood for sure!! #201
Out of all my planes. My favorite has to be my 1/4 Scale Cub.
Nothing flies like a Cub!!!
This is my Hangar 9 Cub.

I'm getting ready to start my first scale build. A Wendall Hostetler Piper PA15 Vagabond.
A friend of mine has a Full Scale Vagabond. I'm going to do it to match his.
Will be using a lot of the Details found on The Cub Den!!!

I really like the H9!!!!! The more I've thought about it. Going to build another Goldberg and do the mods I wanted to do on the last one.

I'm in with five Cubs. My favorite is some ones trash that was left at my club field. It's a Goldberg Anniversary that I rebuilt.

The 1/5th uses plug in wings, and the center section seems pretty strong. The plane is also coming out really light.

I know. Again, sorry for the confusion. I have a tendency to speak before I think. And I'm always yelling at my kids for that. I have yet to build a 1/5 cub, but someday I may.sorry again. Steve.

This takes me back a day or two, here are two Goldberg Cubs that I built in the early Eighties. One was a field wreck that I rebuilt and the other was a kit I did. I have probably built a half dozen of these in the 80's and 90's. Great little planes and flew very nicely.

I like both sunburst schemes especially well! Float flying is a blast! Touch and goes are the 'watchword' for the outing.

Opened the box and started another Goldberg this morning. It was difficult since i've had it since the mid 90's and original Goldberg. Then I thought, "I'm getting old and my kids won't cherish it like I do when I'm gone.…… so wth... Enjoy it"

Any sources for functioning gear at a reasonable price? Always wanted to go that on the last one.

Picked up a "UMX Carbon cub" this weekend. Geez its little!!!

CUB MAN...… I am in Lexington at the corvette track going in often and bought into the track. Beautiful part of the country!
