I have a very old 80" Skybolt that was put out by Bob Dively when gas engines were just starting to make the scene and the plane is built and covered in Sig coverall and clear dope. My question is what paint can go over dope and be gas proof without having to use colored dope.

If you scratch up the surface real good, I don't know why exterior latex wouldn't work. It's gasoline proof. I've sprayed it on 2 airplanes so far with good results.
