hi
i am building this plane from plans a stephen akro 1/4 sport scale 75-90 2 stroke or a 80-1304 stroke i need to get about 1-1/2 to 2" more in the cowl area or motor box the fuel tank 16 oz sits in the motor box area and the wing is right up againt that and i plan on using a DLE 30 which has a total lenght of 6.37 " where do i start the main frame that is the motor box and wing saddle how and where would i lenght or shorten it thanks rye

If your going with a gas engine the tank location doesn't mater, they are pumpers. I usually install the tank so it is centered to the CG with any of my pumped engines. The DLE 30 may be a bit of over kill on this size plane?? Not a big deal I have used it on 90 to 120 ARFs without problems. No reason to be making mods for the tank location, wherever it will fit and you can put it at most any angle you like.
