What is your take on the the super dragon? I have a long standing fascination with seaplanes and might need to build one.

The Super Dragon was a pleasure to build and it went together quickly. It's a great easy areobatic flyer that does lazy rolls and can perform fast passes, also takeoff and landings on the water are fun and predicable too. The battery hatch design is terrible, so I designed my own (my build thread will have detailed description) and it is a sealed fuse as it sits low in the water, so with no air flow the esc tends to heat up a bit. I usually just fly it on days less than 70 deg Fahrenheit and after a full 4s flight with mixed aerobatics (7-8 min) the temps can get around 150-180 (measured with Castle telemetry in the esc) depending on outside temp, so it's manageable. All these thing could be improved, but I'm happy with it as is and it looks cool too!

Greetings Sig owners and builders.
I thought I was already a member here when I acquired by beloved 1/4 scale cub a few years ago, but it appears I never requested to join, so could you please count me in? This cub was built in 1985, has a Saito gold head .120, and has been a treasure to own and fly. I have the EAA Bipe on my list to build unless I ever come across a Skybolt.

New to the forum but definitely not Sig kits. Have had handful in the past and right now enjoying a very modified Riser 2m. On the slow building board is a Four Star 20 that's halfway through a kit bashing that's turning out exactly how I wanted. Can't post pictures til 10 posts but eventually will.

I forgot to mention my next build sometime over the winter will be a Rascal kit. Always wanted one but never got around to buying one. I figure now's good time as any to change that.

What size Rascal? They have few to choose from. Mine was the Rascal C.

I believe it's the Rascal C. It has a 49" span and can be built for for glow or electric. My build will be electric to be compliant with our flying field. Eventually I want to build an autogyro mast to bolt on where the wings normally go. Saw a Rascal that had that setup years ago and looked pretty neat. It also gives me the option to fly either way in a few minutes.

I had the older kit that came with the electric motor and built it as such with a LiPo battery. It was a great flier too! I did it as seen on the box except I used green paper instead gray for the interior and I added gold pinstripes.

I like the interior color change, sounds like a winner! I'm pretty excited for that build as I've always heard it's a sweetheart of a flier. It's just a classy looking aircraft and I love the stock cover scheme.

The tricky part is the washout its not for first time builders. An experience builder like yourself should have no problems.

I’ve never built a Rascal, but looks like a fun and stable plane to fly.

Well, after building the Ryan STA, my Dad built the skeleton and I finished the rest of the Liberty Sport. Always wanted one. Does not have the decals, since when I put them in water, they split into a million pieces. 😂 Still have some wrinkles etc to get out, but here it is

Gorgeous Liberty Sport you have there! That's one of many fantastic models that need brought back. Hopefully it has a long life bringing you relaxing flights.

Thanks, I’m hoping it will as well. For the decals, I just scanned them and printed them on clear 8 x 11 sheets of sticker material. Clear them and put them on. Did them before and work great, except on foam Just had Callie do my Super Chipmunk decals and a special design to fit an 8’ wingspan Waco
