Update: Plane is flying well. I fixed an intake leak, adjusted the valves and replaced a defective throttle servo. The engine is idling much better now. The battery replacement is working out well and I adjusted my charger to 4 mv so the battery would not heat up during charge. It appears taking off requires keeping the tail on the ground and as the plane lifts off getting off the elevator immediately . Things still get a little squarely in a crosswind. I have straighten the gear as well.
