Time to lay some glass on the top rear portion of the fuselage. I know what you're thinking...is that fool going to try and glass that whole section in one piece? Yep, hold my beer, LOL!
Before I start I'm going to try and trim the bottom of the chip brush with scissors. I noticed that these chip brushes have uneven length bristles which sometimes catches the cloth. lets see if this helps...
This is about as difficult as it comes to try and do in one piece, so this is a good test. Using this .5 ounce cloth is a dream, it follows the surface contours without bunching up and trimming those bristles really helped!

Fiberglass lay-up continues...You may be wondering why I don't just use one piece and wrap it all the way around to yesterday's seam? The answer is, cloth management. I certainly could wrap it all the way around, but I'm trying to better manage my cloth so I can utilize it in larger sections on the wing.

A mountain of .5 ounce cloth!
Now knowing that I have enough cloth, I cut a section to complete the rear of the fuselage.
I used the chip brush to get the cloth to lay down properly. No resin at this point.
The resin has now been applied...

FYI, Last night my laptop died. I'll have to post any pics here from work until I get it replaced, so if you ask a question and it takes me a bit longer to respond you know why...

If your laptop is older than 5 years, get another one more powerful and future proof, too. But, if it has sentimental value, then get it fixed...cheaply, of course.
Maybe the Geek Squad, or some other service center, can help with the HDD's data retrieval. The most valuable part of the laptop.
Good luck in resolving your issue today.

If it doesn't run off the A/C adapter without the battery it will probably be a system board. Being over 5 years old system board is pretty cheap and something you can install fairly easily. Now if you need an upgrade buy a new one and get yourself a USB adapter to plug the old hard drive into the new laptop and you can retrieve your data and convert it into an external drive for backup and additional storage.

I was excited to see that I had a package in the mail yesterday from JTEC Radiowave. I had two exhaust systems made, one system with a single exhaust tube exit and a second with two operable exhaust tube exits. (If you remember I had taken the time to fabricate a wooden exhaust ) While the single tube muffler was perfect, the second system will need to be sent back for some adjustments. Never said this was going to be easy...sigh

Nice welding job on the joints. Those are complex patterns for JTEC to interpret into working mufflers and while trying to manage exactness. Surely, they must have expended several pieces of tubing that were cut too short or too long. The Dual Exhausts will look great with shiny metal coming out of the cowling.
BTW, will the mufflers have smoke generating ability?
And, how's your laptop selection coming along?

No, the muffler hasn't been tapped for smoke but could easily be done down the road. Last night I removed the battery from the laptop and plugged in the AC adapter to see if it would power up...nope she's dead. I need to get to get down to Best Buy and purchase a new laptop. Right now I'm posting everything from work...
