I beat the sunrise (and heat) this morning and primed the canopy. The canopy had zero pin holes to fill, however the top had a couple of "whoopty doos" in it that I to straightened out. Looks fine now. As soon as the primer dries, I can lay out the panel lines that need to be sprayed and ready it for more rivets!

Looks like you are in the home stretch with the panel lines and rivets. The canopy sure looks good in wet primer.

Really looking great Vince! I forgot how big that plane was. Seeing it next to the table really shows the scale.

you are a fantastic builder. looking at your thread/pictures was orgasmic. I like what you did with the aileron control linkage.
I started reading to know what you are going to do on the muffler.
good luck

Thank you so much! I love your wing tip tanks. Great job on your build. By the sheen that I see on your wing, it appears that you have glassed it as well. What engine are you going to install on your Bonanza?

Door line in place.

More overlapping panel lines added.

I think it's time to add rivets to the canopy!

thank you for your reply.
the wing tank tips are from a ziroli panther.
it took me weeks to fit them. In hindsight I should have 3D printed them. They would have been more scale and a lot easier to install.

my windows took a long time to install too. Mine protrude from the canopy and I know they shouldn’t . If I have a do over , I ll spend more time to make them flush.

you are lucky to have a full scale bonanza For reference near you.

i am going to install a OS 120 two stroke engine.
i am at a point in the build where I have to find a solution for the muffler. This is how I found your thread

good luck Vince. You are an incredible builder

Since I feel like you are all part of my extended family, I wanted to inform everyone that I decided to take a ride up to Burlington Vt. for a few days. Work will resume back on Monday or Tuesday...

You are doing a fantastic job Vincent and I look forward to each update. Not sure if I mentioned it in any of our email correspondence but both my father and older brother were private pilots and the last airplane we owned was a 1956 V-tail. Unfortunately due to a number of airframe issues, as well as the rising cost of private flying, we sold it just shortly after I started high school right about the time I might have started to consider getting a PPL of my own. I would like to model it some day and my brother just picked up a 40cc twin that we have been looking to put in something. A Bonanza might be just the ticket!

At first glance I thought those may be the halves for the tail cone, but they are the wrong shape. I don't have a clue as to what those halves are for. I don't have them in my kit.

Thank you Chad. I'm happy that you are following along. I think you have to model a Bonanza after the plane your family once owned. No question! This plane I'm building, is modeled after Bob's (my partner) Bonanza that he once owned too! The colors of your Bonanza are exactly the same as Bob's. Do you happen to know what those colors are?
