What happened to the build?
Did the Stinson ever get finished and flown? I’m looking for a kit to build this winter. I’m going to try to put a Saito FG-60r3 radial in it only because I have one.

Flown 6 times no issues yet. Definitely lots of right trim and that has been reported here. The Stinger 40 has been great. Last flight the two muffler bolts came lose. Lost them but a quick trip to HD the 4mm X .7 and some Nord lock M4 washers hopefully do the trick.

My build
I just finished my Top Flite Stinson. I started 3 years ago, got mostly framed out, and got frustrated. I put it away for 2 years. This fall I promised self to finish it. Still I finished a 1980 lazer 200 kit, and a sig kobra before I started. I wish I could say I loved building this, but I really am just being glad it's done. The covering is whatever shrinkable fabric Balsa USA is currently selling. It is hand painted with brushes, and clear coated with this awesome clear floor finish called Bona Mega it is crosslinked with exposure to oxygen

The measurements I've done with a Fibreglass Specialities cowl suggest that the 40 is too wide, and was going to fit the 30.
However, if the 40 fits, thenI'd rather be over than under powered.
