Okay..
Finishing the wing on an Eagle II and I now have to apply the wing tips that came with the kit. The instructions call for poking tiny holes in the covering where the tip will cover the end of the wing, applying slow CA and allow the glue to penetrate the wood in tiny sections with the wing tip placed over the holes.
I am just wondering if there is an alternative method to this or is this about the best way to apply those plastic tips? I have covered the wing so I am down to this step.
Any suggestions?
Thank Folks.
Larry

I am assuming you are new? If so, I would just leave them off. What until you have about 25 takeoff and landings under your belt with that plane...then put them on.

SINcraft,
I am no expert here but Curious... why would you suggest to wait for 25 good flights before putting the tips on? As far as I can tell they do help against tip stall though with such a good kit like this it would not be noticable...just curious in your reasoning..
To the first post i have built 3 Eaglet 50's and 5-6 eagle II and never had a problem with the wing tips.... I built these for the local flying club "Club trainers". and they turned out fine.. for finishing touch though I put self sticking 1/4 trim tape along the seam to touch it up a little... seen them do cartwheels and still have the wing tips in place.
