I'm looking for some help from all the experts at RCU. I am working on my V60 and Bruce reccommended using a Hayes engine mount. He didn't specify which one, so I contacted him. He stated that he usually uses the AS-60 mount. My question is this. Does anybody know if a Magnum 70 four stroke will fit on that mount? Bruce wasn't sure, so I contacted both Global and Hayes and neither of them could tell me if it would work. My LHS doesn't carry Hayes mounts but they can get them. I'd like to know if it would work before I order one. I'd appreciate any info that you guys can provide.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just make sure that the mount fits the engine. There's plenty of room on the firewall for just about any engine mount, and everything is drilled before it's attached to the fuselage. Bruce's instructions were pretty clear on getting the mount centered on the firewall properly. I've seen people rotate the engine, add cowls, etc. Just use whatever mount you can find that will fit your engine - Having some vibration dampening is nice.
