It says works on foam, I've read of others using it for sheeting on foam. I guess I have to throw the wings away and start over. Yuk! I know I should have tried a test piece first, but I thought it was a standard building material. I'm building a Stinger 40 if it makes any differnce.

I have read a lot of people here are using pollyuretane glues for sheeting. Names like Elmer's probond and Gorrila glue. I am using it for general construction on the plane I am building. It foams as it cures. It is very easily sanded. Anyhow in the threads I have read they all say to be careful to not use too much. Do a search on pollyurethane glues here and you should find all the info you need.

bbmass - There have been a lot of reports of foam wings having the sheeting delaminate when using spray glue. Sorry about your mishap with the wing, but it may be a blessing in disguise. Use a real glue to put on your sheeting. Epoxy or Gorilla glue or a quality, water-base contact cement (Southern Sorghum).

3M recently changed the formula of their Type 77 spray. I heard it now contains a fair amount of acetone. Look for the old black can which is the old formula. I bought about 6 cans of the stuff when I heard about the formula change.

I read where some builders are just taping the wing skin sheets together at the seems and using the poly glue to glue the sheeting down..as the poly cures it sseeps in the taped joint of the balsa skins and when it cures is easily sanded leaving no seem line.
I always used 3M#77 but will be using poly glue or epoxy from now on.
