RE: Good covering jobs!
Here is my GP Extra 300 .60. My very first build and covering job. Picture is from last weekend running in the Engine (OS120 III pumped). What an awesome engine it is too. It fired up om it's very first compression and stayed running... [X(]
Left is maiden...as soon as I get time for it...

RE: Good covering jobs!
Here's my GP Super Sportster! I still need the tail wheel but it should be on its maiden flight next week!
I used monokote, the yellow stripes are leftover from my SS EP, note the super tigre-Tigre on the wingtips. Yes the engine is early 70's...4 ports in & 4 ports out.

RE: Good covering jobs!
Folks,
Here's mine... GP T-Craft with an OS.32 in it.
I saw the original idea on a hard hat, where red 'bled' into white, and into leafs... I took it a bit further. With the classical side profile, and a unique bottom flag profile that gets a lot of attention at the field. I am still struggling for a pilot figure though....
Hmmm maybe some snow skii's now.... eh?!?

Here is my second kit, a Goldberg Cub. It is covered in the colors of the school I attend, Iowa State University. The ISU1205 stands for Iowa State University, graduation date of December 2005 (right around the corner!). I cut out all the letters and graphics by hand from Monokote.

Hi there, was it an electric kit converted into glow engine?
I have a supersportster Ep (electric) and looking to find the best glow engine to mount!

The Gold is ultracote, but the rest is pure, premium, MONOKOTE. I just got back from flying it twice in the rain. Flies very well. I'll try to get some more pics uploaded later.

RE: Good covering jobs!
Wow!!! There are really some creative and beautiful covering jobs on this thread. I plan to use this thread for ideas when it comes time to cover my 4* 60. I really like some of the metallic colors. are there any difficulties I can expect from a metallic finish that I wouldn't find with opaque colors?

RE: Good covering jobs!
Not that I'm proud of it, but since I just finished a 4* I couldn't help but show it. It's been a couple of decades since I covered anything (just got back into it to keep my old man company). I did the covering with a 1/4" overlap to save money (stinks bein' poor). The hardest part for me is finding something interesting that's not too far out. I guess that's the down side of being an old fart.
