Default Sig Komander Help!!!

HI All I'm building a Sig Komander..Things going well with this old kit..Here's the question/problem..Page 22 pic 85 (a) Mark n drill holes in H-3 ..Where do I get the measurements to mark H-3..I don't see any template or measurements..Is it just a case of lining up the wing behind the formers and use my own measurements..

I will using a OS46fx for the power, should be overpowered..After buiulding this one I should be able toi build a house..LOL

Thanks in advance Dan

Yeppers.i built one of them years ago, just use you judgement on those measurements then drill them.Just be a little carefull when drilling to make sure everything stays lined up.

Hi Took your advice on the Komander . NO one else replied..Had to drill twice..I didn't like where the 1st set came out..I'm almost ready to cover..Stripping my 4* 40 to outfit the Komander..I hope it flys great, really not a good looking plane..Don't really know why I wanted to build it..I'll probably love it to death once it gets in the air..

Thanks Dan

Congratulations on your Kommander. I flew the wings off of one. It was my first real trainer and it served me well. The only suggestion I would make - make sure the landing gear blocks are well secured to the foam cores and sheeting with epoxy. I'd also suggest drilling a few 1/4" holes through the top of the wing and epoxy'ing 1/4" dowels throught he blocks and gear. The gear blocks eventually got "mushy" in the wing. Also, you may want to replace the nose wheel arm - it is a bit flimsy for the sized airplane. I broke 2 of them before I replaced them with Dubro parts plus a plastic washer.

Regards,
