Pica Waco 1/5 any experence building
Anyone have experience with the Pica Waco 1/5 size? First off I heard Pica has sold so I don't know what the availability of the kits are going to be and I heard the Pica kits are a large box of balsa sticks. I have a Saito 100 awaiting the Waco.

I built the 1/6th and loved it so much I'm building the 1/5th.
Sweet looking and flying plane. Definitely a builders kit. Do you have any specific questions?

Jim,
I guess I don't have any questions about the kit as I haven't started it yet. Someone in our club mentioned Pica now has the kits die cut and are improved. I am a kit builder and do scratch projects so I guess I wouldn't have a problem with this one. What engine will you use in your 1/5? What did you cover with? What did you think of the plans?

A kit builders kit and don't take all the wood out of the box ,you will never get it back in. STICKS STICKS and more sticks. Its a great looking plane when finished I used Super Coverite to cover and Ultra cote to paint it YS 120 for power now all I have to do is find some place to fly it. Just one thing the ailerons are a Bi!@#$
