Sig Kavalier CG
#2

Winger1955
Per my plans (circa 1981), the Forward CG is 3-1/4 in. beind the LE, and the Aft CG is 4-1/8 in. behind the LE. There is also a "Sport Flying" mark shown on the plans at 3-5/8 in. Per the instruction manual, Sig recomends the forward for test flights, the middle for sport flying, and the aft for aerobatics, but do not exceed the aft position. I had my Kavalier balanced at the "Sport Flying" location and it did all the aerobatics I wanted it to do at the time and it never tended to snap at a stall (unless I intentionally snap-rolled it).
Hope your Kavalier flies as good as mine did. I'm thinking of building another one just for the fun of it.
