RE: Senior Telemaster info
Thanks for the input of one who has been there, done that. Your inflight pictures are pretty. I really like the empennage. The aluminum gear looks a lot better also. Everything I read about the Telemaster looks like the plane for an old geezer like me. If I flew the real planes like I fly rc I wouldn't be around today. I flew rc back in the early 70's and am just getting started again after selling my Experimental retirement fun plane. I think I'm getting "Old Timers" disease so I quit flying the real stuff. Al

RE: Senior Telemaster info
Thanks everyone for the great info. If I could get some more weight numbers, it would really help me figure out a target weight. I've been doing many mods to the wing, adding a lot of weight in the process. I don't want to go over kill with the beefing up, so I'm trying to figure out a target weight. I know this airframe can lift a lot of weight, but my goal is to build it as strong as possible, but keep the empty weight as low as possible.
Thanks for the help,
James

RE: Senior Telemaster info
Hello Everyone-
I built a senior telemaster about a year ago and love it. I build my wind so it splits into two pieces with an alum spar in the middle. Its held on with four nylon bolts. I wish I had made the tail removable, but its a little late for that now. I also took out all the dihedral out of the design and added the diagonal pieces between the ribs to help with the twist problem. Like others I moved my servos where I needed them, and build a big bomb bay under the wing to drop object on my friends. Its powered by an OS 91 and it will climb like crazy even with a pound of paint balls loaded in it. The plane flys great but it always fools me in landing as it wants to float like a glider when at idle. If anyone would like pictures to see how I did anything please let me know, I would be happy to send them. Mike-
