Default uproar and ASP 75 engine

Hello all,

I have an brand new ASP .75 engine and want to put it into a tower uproar, but I can not decide which one, the 40 or the 60. I want to have a plane that will hover and also I want to build the wing a little tougher, so it will come a little heavier then normaly. But perhaps that will be compensated by the lack of landing gear cause I want to skip that (need a plane that will fit nicely into the trunk of my car)

Please advice.

Best regards,
Red

Put it on the 60. That 75 will tear an Uproar 40 apart.

Do what David advises !! My buddy has a Thunder Tiger 61 in the 60 size Uproar and he tears up the sky with it !

If you put the .75 on the .40 Uproar, you will be able to torque roll on the ground! Just start it up and watch it start flipping

Kidding aside, don't put it on the .40.....way too much. I am not familiar with the .60 size, but I am sure that it would be a better fit.

What they said. A .75 on a .40 sized Uproar would be a waste of both engine and plane. I fly mine with an OS .32SX spinning an APC 10X3 and it will go vertical off the ground with about 6 feet of rollout.
With the .75 you would have to add so much weight to balance it that you would end up with a lead slead in my opinion.
The wings on the .60 sized Uproar are removeable so it should fit in your trunk OK.

Im building the 60 Uproar right now. It has been a very easy build and the instructions are easy to follow. Im putting a G 90 on mine, but tend to over power my planes by at least 10. The 75 should be great on the 60 Uproar. I am useing the Uproar to get me ready for the Funtana 90 I just picked up.

i have the 40 size uproar (already built by someone else) the downside to this is that the wings don't come off. i don't know how much trouble it would be to modify the frame to make the change but i'm sure it could be done.....

I used one of my Up-Roar 40s to break in an MDS 58 {JUNK!!} engine. It was way over powered. A fun fly plane just doesn't need or take A lot of power to fly them, go with the 60 size plane.
