Folks-
Having troubles here. I just bought a FlyFly F-22 Raptor and am putting it together. Its a little more complicated than I had anticipated. I've almost got it done but I can't figure out how to hook up the linkage to the tailarons. Can anyone give my some help? Much appreciated!!!

looks like you either put the control horn on the wrong side of the pivot point, or you have control surface reversed 180deg (hard to tell from the closeup pics). The control horn on the tailerons/ailevators should be on the opposite side of the pivot point with regards to the servo.

Looking at your second picture it looks as if you are missing the metal link rod and quick connect shown in the first picture. This will alow for the servo to pivot both ways to move the surface and to allow for the change in angle of the servo horn to the surface. Also note they show the servo with only one horn you may have to trim off the others on your setup, this may be to allow for clearance of the linkage for the surface to move in both directions. Position your model so it is oriented the same as your drawing so you can get a better feel for how it is suposed to go together, or flip the drawing around if that is easier.

I have the linkage. Problem is the link is 2" long and the horn and the servo arm are side by side. I have the correct arm too but that still doesn't make the linkage work. Still places it within 6mm of the horn. Thinking about it, it seems the only way a tailron would work, is having in pivot point operated by a servo acting as a "hinge" on the fueslage that would allow the taileron to flap. I can't see it working by linkage. But i've been wrong before!

Iron Eagle, thanks for the help. I changed the control arm and flip the servo 180 degrees. Had to cut away some foam to offset the two but i think I got it. For whatever reason I had talked myself into from the beginning it not working. I'm still a little concerned as the tailorons do not feel very stable. Seem flemsy. Especially knowing I'll be running a 6s setup on this thing. Anyhow thanks again for the advice.
