This is truly a great engine , I will also be useing this engine on my elder , along with a flexible exhaust . Youre build looks great also . Will you be using an on board glow driver ?

Hi
Yes I have run the engine in a Sig LT-40 , and no I have not started my elder as of yet , I have the kit and the spoked wheels , just need the Vickers machine gun . I will be adding a more round rudder for better rudder control . The rudder does not have a very large area , this is the only modification that I will make . You will love youre Saito-56

RE: topflite elder 40 build
Hey,
I'm also building the Elder, have build the tail, the wing and busy on the fuse. Just glued the firewall in.
So I'm behind a week or see on you... I'm gonna try to keep up...
I couldn't get the Saito 56 here, so I bought the OS 56 FSa.
In your last picture I see you didn't glue the reinforcements on the tail, where the stab goes. I'm gonna do the same, weird the manuel tells otherwhise...
I will glue in some light ply there between the longerons, to give the stab a bit more glue-surface.
Keep up the good work!
Phil

Hey,
I'm just about putting the left side of the fuse on, it's to cold to do any work in the shop...
So I think it will take a few weeks before I can get back to it. I have your progress to keep me motivated
I will try to get some pics up this evening.

Dame, I keep on looking to your pics and really get psyched to get back to building mine.
It's - 16° Celcius over here and I can't get my shop warm enough to do some relaxing building...[:@]
Hope the frost ends soon...
Did you weld your LG or solder? I can't make up my mind about this.
