I did most of the redesign work, and some of the building with a friend to help him build a Spitfire out of a four * 40 kit.. I recently found a little footage of it on an old tape. Oh yeah back around 1993 he flew it at the SIG funfly, and I think the designer of the kit was there and liked it, so guess what it turned up in the SIG calendar the next year !

That's cool. It's good to see something different . I'm rebuilding my 4* after a crash and that gives me some ideas to finish it off

Very cool! Love the camo.

I am bashing a 4* into an electric something or other. I stick built the fuse for lightness, added wingtips and shaped the ailerons to approximate a P-40 profile, added P-40 outline tailfeathers and a trimmed Mitsu Zero canopy with a turtledeck. Still fabricating the nose, trying to incorporate a Williams brothers Spandau. Also still debating on the covering scheme. In my mind I see some kind of military/reno hybrid. It's still in bones, I'll post pics.
