Plane with landing gear top and bottom?
All,
Several years ago I found a site that had a kit for a plane with landing gear on both the top and bottom of the plane. The site stated it was no longer producing kits, but you could download the plans for free. As I was a beginner at that time I added the site to my favorites, but did not download the plans. Of course, since than, I got a new computer, lost the link, and can not remember how I found it.
Does anyone know about this plane (I believe it was called whatz up) and where I might be able to find the plans. I thought it would be a cool plane to build and try landing both normal and "inverted".
Thanks,
Rob

I'm not familiar with that plane, but I've considered trying that with a profile plane. The Sig Fazer
might work.
might work.

I remember the plane also.
Cant think of the name of the plane but it was a mid wing design and had landing gear mounting on the top and bottom.
Also the rudder was modified to be equal on the top and bottom of the fuse.
Oh yeah, No diheridal in the wing.

I have always wanted to try it, I would think any airplane with good inverted fling characteristics could be modified. Get the landing gear positioned correct on top, tail wheel on top of the rudder, and strap a foam cushion between your knees to stop them from knocking together !
its a PERFECT flat foamie project.

Well, the one I saw was powered by a .46 glow.
It was someones concoction from a crash and rebuild (I'm guessing).
In fact I also think that it had tricycle gear on it.
It defiently was NOT a kit.
