How thick is fiberglass?
I am finally about to start building my TF Bonanza and plan on finishing it with fiberglass. Do I need to get thinner sheeting so the finished surface will mate up with the cowl, tail cone, and cabin?
Thanks! Mike.

RE: How thick is fiberglass?
As fiberglass will be only a surface coat, I would go with the thinest fiberglass fabric (less OZ), and apply epoxy getting the thickness of your choice. Fiberglass will add strengh to the frame and will last for years, you also may want to coat with some primer before the finishing paint, it takes time but the results are great and keeping the airframe light will also be a reward.
Good luck.

RE: How thick is fiberglass?
Absolutly right, I miss to mention the thickness of the original balsa covering, which in turn was the main question.
Best regards.
